Hello lover...

A few days back I went to the thrift store. I needed to get out of the house. I was going a bit stir crazy.

And be still my heart.

I found these great new sassy pair of kicks!

I fell in love instantly with these boots. A beautiful distressed red, perfect for boot-scooting when I go to Hub's gigs. They are Nine West...not as quality as my Luccheses, but cute nonetheless. And I love the color combo. I can see these paired with a denim skirt or jeans, a tank top and this cute little red vintage purse I got from Etsy last year. :)

I have never been one who enjoys shopping for clothes. I'm short, and unfortunately, I'm also short-waisted, so it's always difficult for me to find clothes that I feel look good on me. Everything is made for people who are tall and have long torsos. But shoes...now that's another story! I can always find shoes to fit. That's probably why, at last count, I have over 100 pairs.

I think panties are the same way, don't you? If you can't find a cute outfit, you can always find a cute pair of panties (I have lots of those, too).

In other news, I received the dreaded "rejection" email from the job I interviewed for about a month ago. It really would have been perfect. I have many years of experience doing everything they required the candidate to do. I guess that is why it feels so insulting to get the "we are impressed with your resume, but are looking for someone who's talents match our needs more...blah blah" email. Sure, I know it's the standard, stock rejection letter that they send out to everyone, but it still is bothersome when I know my skills were exactly (and maybe more) of what they were wanting.

Love those boots! I hate shopping for clothes (same reason you do) and shoes. I have hard to fit, bad feet. When I find a pair that fits, I wear them and pray over them to last until I can find another pair that fit. LOL!

Those are the coolest looking boots!

Those are some seriously-cute boots. Please take photos when you put them together with the perfect outfit.
About the job...remember that in today's economy, there are probably about a hundred people in line for each position waiting to be filled these days.
Maybe this rejection will allow you to pursue something even better that you thought this one would be. A happy thought! : )

Those boots are beyond fabulous and since they aren't for actual horseback riding, NineWest is a perfectly good brand.

As a tall, long waisted person, I'll tell you that the downside is that I have size 11 feet. Cute boots NEVER come in size 11.

See? There is justice in the world.

Sorry about the job. Probably you were over-qualified and they were afraid to pay you what you're worth!

Sorry to hear about the job prospect. That really sucks. I got not one, but two rejection letters for the job I currently hold! Which goes to show that b.s. about 'who you know' is completely accurate!
Speaking of...do you still have my email? Drop me a line, I have some questions.

Very cute shoes, take a picture of yourself when you wear them.
I'm so sorry about that letter, it hurts. Your job will come, atleast that is what every one kept telling us.

Love those boots, "sassy" is the right word to describe them. I agree with you about panties, I have many a cute pair just to perk up my day! So sorry about the letter, I'm currently living in fear of one so I can understand your pain!

Sorry to hear about the job. What a bummer! But at least you have some cute new boots to console you! :)
(I realize that the boots probably aren't quite doing it for you so I will be praying.)

Those boots are SO cute! They are a great find! :) I know what you mean about finding clothes when you're short. (Personally, I'd give almost anything for a couple extra inches!)

I am so sorry about the job. Searching for a job is NOT fun! I am still praying you'll find the right one!
