Front and center

I don't know about you, but I struggle with how to decorate my dining room table for the different seasons. I usually just become so overwhelmed that I do nothing. Or rather, I put my "non-seasonal meh" wrought iron candle holder there to fill the space.

How about a little inspiration? (courtesy of about.com)

I like this one. Simple, but festive. I'm sure most of us have an unloved bowl, cake stand or vase hidden away in a cabinet somewhere. Pull that baby out, add a few pieces of fruit (real or faux), grab some leaves from your yard and you are done!

This one is a little fussy for my tastes, but it can be scaled back if that's what you prefer. Again, pull out an unused platter, plate or bowl and add fruit and flowers (I love the artichokes!).

Do you prefer a more rustic, natural centerpiece? Fill a basket with pine cones, gourds, pumpkins, corn and a sweet little nest for your own country-style centerpiece.

I am kind of fond of this one, because it looks like what mother nature would look like on a crazy hectic day. The branches are reminiscent of my hair on those days...wild and crazy. The components are very natural, but slightly whimsical. Add leaves, branches and pine cones to a bowl and you are good to go.

Are you a fancy gal? Here's one for you. Take some silver (or clear) candlesticks, bowls and vases and add a piece of beaded fruit. Drape some pretty greenery around for a final touch.

And lastly, here's a fun one for all of you squirrely girls. Glue nuts and pine cones to a styrofoam cone for a cute little tree. I can see these in a series...large one in the middle, two smaller ones on the sides.

Be sure to dress your table for the season!

I love to decorate my table. My only problem is having to move the decor in order to eat. ;~)
It looks like you've been very busy finding great bargains and crafting some cute fall decorations and some cutie booties!

I love all of them, nice arrangements. Although I find the fourth one quite gloomy.

Oh very nice! I think I like the first one the best. I was just saying this morning our centerpiece is quite lame, it's just a couple candles surrounded by fall berries, until I can find something bigger and better to put together!

You know, I worked really hard decorating last weekend and realized I did NOTHING to my table. Go figure.

That's one thing I don't like about living in a small house and actually having to USE my dining room table everyday. lol Oh well, anyway, I did do something fallish with it recently. I bought a metal tiered thing at my favorite antique/junk store a while back. It was sitting on my scrap desk holding my punches, but I pulled it off and filled it with moss and fake gourds. It looks "ok", but it's missing something. Maybe leaves from the yard would help it.

Hi! I definatly have a hard time decorating my tables. Thanks for the inspiration! I also posted a comment on your last post about adding a background to your site. Just wanted to make sure that you see it. Or...maybe you already have a background and on this old clunker dial up computer that I am on, it just never loaded. :)

I think you just clarified for me why I have some extra pounds. I saw chocolates on the one centerpiece...not nuts!

Thank you for the ideas!
