No news...is good news?

I'm still hoping for a callback for "part 2" in the interview process. She did happen to mention that there were several people from my previous company applying for the position as well. *sigh* Hubs said maybe they are taking a week or two to do all of the interviews. At least I haven't received a rejection letter yet. So no news is good news.

The interview is all such a blur. Though in typical fashion, I'm second guessing myself and thinking of how I could have answered questions better. Ugh! I'd prepared for so many of the "typical" interview questions, and she didn't ask me any of those. So the ones I answered were really on the spot answers.

I had looked over their web site and asked many questions regarding that (since the position is related to the site). I wanted her to know I did my homework on them. I also prepared a list of 10 questions to ask her so that the interview would be interactive and so I'd look interested (which I was, of course). Weird thing...she didn't ask to see my portfolio. I had it sitting on her desk. And I was so wrapped up in all of the questions that I failed to ask "would you like to see my portfolio?" *sigh* Maybe that will come later in the interview process. Perhaps she uses the first round of interviews to simply get to know the candidates.

This is going to do me in. Seriously, I'm so stressed. I can't enjoy doing any of my home and craft projects because my mind is elsewhere. I continue to look for leads every day. And there is STILL nothing out there! I guess it would be too hopeful to wish that the economy would make a swift turn around overnight, wouldn't it? I do appreciate all of the well wishes! One of these days, I'll have a really upbeat positive blog entry! I promise! ;)

Wishing you a callback very soon..so frustrating..this is such a hard time for everyone..we know quite a few people with different professional jobs that just can't find one. My husbands company just announced a 20% decrease in all salaries...no bonuses no raises...freeze on all travels...and many layoffs...I am nervous!

I am sure you did great! When Zack went for an interview back during the summer, it took a whole month to get a call back! That was just for the 2nd interview. Crazy...There were just that many people applying. Then it took until Nov. until he finally was able to start. Keeping my fingers crossed!!

Yes...no news is good news. It's so hard to tell when a second interview call will occur. You never know what they're policies are. Good luck!

I don't know how that office works, but ours moves ridiculously slow when we need to hire new people. So I would say that no news is good news. I hope they move a little faster for your sake!

This sounds so much like the interviews my husband went on. And talk about slow, wow waiting for a call back made him and me crazy.
My husband would call the company back in a few days to keep him on their minds.

Here's to hoping that some good news crosses your path soon! Really hoping that this job works out for you. Smile girlie. You did your homework and it sounds like you did a great job in your interview. In fact, I took away some tips. :)

It sounds like you did a great job doing your homework and learning about the company and website. You'd be surprised how many people don't do that! Hang in there!

Hmm. The unknown can be worse than the bad known, can't it? What we worry about can literally eat us alive and then half the time the horrible scenario that we conjure up never comes to fruition. Here's my piece of advice to you - go on as if you didn't get the job. Keep following other leads. Everytime your mind starts to wander to this job or any job or money or any sort of negativity, repeat this phrase "God, I trust you." Do NOT allow yourself to become overcome with stress and worry. Man, I've been in this spot so many times.
